The proposed Breslau staging plan was presented at Council last night. The plan outlines the sequence of development, infrastructure needed and rate of growth.
I’m hearing concerns on the rate of growth and how big/how fast does Breslau want to be.
Thanks to the residents who spoke up! As Council we have the job of balancing what we want locally, with how the province is telling us to grow. Local control over the process is critical!
Short term I believe we need to pass the contingency staging plan, to keep control over development. Then, during the Official Plan meetings, we will have public input, and the new Council can make an informed decision on growth, but most importantly, keep control of the growth process.
Woolwich keeps control, not the Ontario Land Tribunal.
